Dr. Qasim Malik completed his medical education at Lahore Medical and Dental College in Lahore, Pakistan after which he moved to the United States, where he completed his Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular disease training. Dr. Malik served as chief resident as well as chief fellow during his training.
After his residency, he also served as Associate Program Director for the internal medicine residency program. He went on to complete my Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at St. Luke’s University Health Network in Bethlehem, PA.
He moved to Richmond after having worked in private practice in central Virginia. He performs simple as well as complex coronary and peripheral interventions, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology and vascular studies.
Dr. Malik is Board Certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology, echocardiography and nuclear cardiology.
He takes pride in being available to his patients and their families as well as building relationships with them to be able to provide them the best care. Other than work, he is a food connoisseur, loves to travel as well as to spend time with his wife and three beautiful kids.
